OWA CHARACTER DESIGN

How To: First make sure to read through the information and take regards to the example character that will be listed for this section. It will explain how you will make and email a character into the omniwrestling@vcn.com, once that has been completed it can take usually 2-3 days to get your character approved and added to the roster. We try our best to get them added to the roster soon enough to allow them to be placed up on the next card that will be showing. In some cases additional work will be needed to get the characters developed into Zeus and updated. Usually OWA will respond to your character sheet in advance to let you know that it is under review or accepted. So from here lets look at what is needed...

Description: This information is designed to identify who your character is, both in your design and who the character represents in the real world (this is in regard to posers) make sure to take a view through the Roster to make sure that your character's poser is not of another current character, the poser will be rejected in cases of this and can delay character approval. What you will need to answer for the character description is below:

Wrestler Name: This name is the Name Title of your Character.
Real Name: If applicable, the real name of your wrestler.
Alias Name: Additional names or short names that can be used.

Gender: Male or Female (Unknown if you can roleplay it in Disguise)
Height: Wrestler Height (The Average Height is 5'10" in the WoD Universe)
Weight: Wrestler Weight (The Average being 250#'s keep in mind the Poser your playing)
Poser: Your Wrestler's Picture, who is it.
Hometown: The Hometown of your Wrestler.
Entrance Music: The Intro Music for your Wrestler.

Entrance: Design an Entrance for your character, be descriptive and unique.

Statistics: Welcome to the most complicated portion designed for the OWA Character Creation, this is where you will choose a character role style, assign points to that style, and develop the basic information that Zeus Pro will be using. Those values are as follows, Strength (Assists in Move Damage), Speed (assists in Movement), Vitality (Assists in Taking Damage), Charisma (Assists in Recovery). Below are the Possible Character Styles to play:

Strength: Everything from Brawler to Powerhouse the big the bad and the powerful for the wrestling ring. These are the guys that use their strength to win a victory over their opponents. They lack in the speed department when it comes to movement. Their attribute Max Values: Strength 15, Speed 5, Vitality 10, Charisma 10.
Speed: Everything from High Flyers to Acrobatic fighters, these are the hit and run style of wrestler or those wrestlers that just like to hit chain moves on their opponents. Generally lacking in over all damage they make up for it with the ability to land more consecutive moves in a row. Their attribute Max Values: Strength 5, Speed 15, Vitality 10, Charisma 10.
Vitality: These guys are the unbreakable guys, generally in the lack of the speed department and backed up by their power for strength. They are built like tanks and take the punishment just the same. Out lasting their opponents is the game they tend to play. Their attribute Max Values: Strength 10, Speed 5, Vitality 15, Charisma 10.
Average: These are the everyday average wrestlers generally good at everything and more a well balanced fighter. Their attribute Max Values: Strength 10, Speed 10, Vitality 10, Charisma 10.
Custom: This is for the advanced user, you have 40 Points that can be split up among the four different stats of Strength, Speed, Vitality, Charisma. None of these can fall below 5 Max or exceed 15 Max without the OWA Game Master approval. Think of it as 5 being the average person’s peak ability and 15 being that of legends. When you design the character based on Custom you will need to not only assign your points but assign your Max Values to those stats.

Style: One of the before mentioned Styles above.
Attributes: Each player starts with 10 Points to assign to their Style Attributes, There must be at least a one in each Attribute.
Strength: Assign Points, State Max if Custom.
Speed: Assign Points, State Max if Custom.
Vitality: Assign Points, State Max if Custom.
Charisma: Assign Points, State Max if Custom.

Character Move List: This is the move list, starting out it will appear small. Each character starts with ten Moves and one finisher to assign to themselves. Some moves are already given as basic wrestling moves. Those will be listed below this section before you choose your moves. In addition to choosing those moves you also have to assign Damage to those moves to build your character into an unique wrestler. To answer pre-questions yes basic moves can have their damage adjusted as well and all of them start at one damage. No chosen moves can have a Damage less than one or greater than eight. Each Character is given 40 Points in creation to build their moves. Keep in mind finishing moves are less likely to be used during the match however have an increased damage of two, making Finisher starting damage range between four and ten damage.

---Basic Move List---
Punch
Kick
Stomp
Irish Whip
Hip Attack
Takedown
Trip
Knee
Elbow

Choose Moves: Feel free to use any wrestling resource for your moves, I suggest the big book of wrestling or one of the wrestling wiki sites around the internet. OWA as well will have their own move list which we will build from the characters that come into gaming here. Only Trademarks and Finishers are allowed to have a name to the move, keeping realistic we would also like the full move name rather than the names given by wrestlers that have used them. If you do not know the full name we will do our best to look them up for you when we build your character to the site. Once you have picked ten moves and one finisher you will need to assign damage values to those moves as well as allowed to increase the damage value of basic moves. You have a total of 40 points to use towards moves, basic moves may range from one to eight damage, chosen moves must range from two to eight damage, and finisher must start with two to eight damage before adding two for being a finisher.

Note: Some moves are required to be chain moves otherwise they do not make any sense and example of these moves would be the tree-of-woe, it wouldn’t make much sense for Zeus to write putting someone into a tree of woe then next line be them up and attacking you again. So we require the chain move to be chosen with it, this still counts as one move not two like it sounds. So the full example would be a tree-of-woe into a baseball slide kick.

Additional Information: This information is not required to play, however if you want to design a background story with your character you may do so and we will include it to your character sheet.

Tag Team Information: Tag Teams are required to build both characters or become a tag team by joining with another single. For the Roster tag team and singles are seperated in their ranking and wins/loss records. Experience if gained differently as well. A Tag Team gains experience as a whole which is then split between both members, usually evenly or at the players discression if they play both members of the team. You will need to enter in additional information for tag team creation:

Double-Team Moves: These moves have to be purchased by both members of the tag team, example would be a double chokeslam would mean both members need to have the move Chokeslam. Then the move damage is the sum of both wrestlers divided by two. So if Wrestler A has Chokeslam at eight damage and Wrestler B has Chokeslam at four damage, the double team move would be six damage (8+4=12/2=6). For ease in character creation please list any double team moves the two wrestlers already share.
